The hypocrisy of the Attorney General at the Hague court, in creating symmetry in the request to issue the arrest warrants for Yahya Sinwar, Netanyahu and Gallant is shameful. The fact that a country that operates in accordance with the laws of war, while putting combatants at risk, is compared to monsters who have come to massacre, rape, and kidnap civilians, is a moral and legal scandal.
I think that the situation at the court is anti to begin with. Everything is not in our favor. We made a mistake going there the first time. The ICC presents an antisemitic theater of the absurd. Nothing related between it and justice. To compare the prime minister of a democratic state that is fighting a war it didn't choose, in accordance with international law, to a mass murderer who led to the slaughter of children, brutal rape of women, amputation of organs and mass slaughter, is moral bankruptcy.
The position is clear and has not changed - the State of Israel should not stand trial for fighting for its existence and it will not take part in The Hague’s Russian roulette. The fact that the chief prosecutor in The Hague indicates that the oppressor Sinwar and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu are equal, only proves the claim.
He who wants to put Netanyahu and Gallant on the same throne with Sinwar and Deif will remain in the history books as the destroyer of international law and a moral perversion.
I met with @AIPAC leaders Michael Tuchin and Howard Kohr. The State of Israel owes them much for their longstanding support. I asked them to work with the administration and Congress to take dramatic steps against the decision by the Prosecutor of the ICC to demand arrest warrants for PM Netanyahu and the Defense Minister.
Two weeks ago, on Holocaust Memorial Day, I pledged this: no amount of pressure, and no decision in any international forum, will prevent Israel from defending itself against those who seek our destruction. To all the enemies of Israel, including their collaborators in The Hague, I renew that pledge today.
[The ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan] is callously pouring gasoline on the fires of antisemitism that are raging across the world. Through this incendiary decision, Mr. Khan takes his place among the great anti-Semites of modern times. He now stands alongside those infamous German judges that donned their robes and upheld laws that denied the Jewish people their most basic rights, and enabled the Nazis to perpetrate the worst crime in history.
To utter the names Netanyahu and Gallant in the same breath as Sinwar and Deif is to suggest some moral equivalence between a Western democracy, however imperfect, and the bloodthirsty terrorist group against which it is defending itself. The ICC prosecutor’s announcement is abhorrent and amoral and should be roundly and categorically rejected by the international community.
