The ICC arrest warrants are a complete moral failure, we cannot accept the outrageous comparison between Netanyahu and Sinwar, between the leaders of Israel and the leaders of Hamas.
I have instructed the immediate establishment of a special command center at the Foreign Ministry, with all professional entities, aimed at fighting against the decision intended primarily to shackle Israel's hands and prevent it from exercising its right to self-defense. I intend to speak with foreign ministers of leading countries around the world to urge them to oppose the Prosecutor's decision and declare that even if warrants are issued, they do not intend to enforce them against Israeli leaders.
The announcement of the prosecutor at the ICC is beyond outrageous, and shows the extent to which the international judicial system is in danger of collapsing … We expect all leaders in the free world to condemn outright this step and firmly reject it.
A court that equates the leaders of a democratic nation, such as a prime minister and a defense minister, with those of a terrorist organization responsible for a sadistic massacre, where they butchered, tortured and raped of thousands of innocent citizens, does not deserve the title of a legitimate judicial body. The request for arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant is delusional, unfounded, and [a serious matter]. To place Netanyahu and Gallant together with Sinwar and Deif is madness.

To utter the names Netanyahu and Gallant in the same breath as Sinwar and Deif is to suggest some moral equivalence between a Western democracy, however imperfect, and the bloodthirsty terrorist group against which it is defending itself. The ICC prosecutor’s announcement is abhorrent and amoral and should be roundly and categorically rejected by the international community.
The State of Israel must take control of the Gaza Strip. Not the Palestinian Authority, not Gazan families. Only Israeli control of the Gaza Strip will lead to the removal of the threat in the future from the State of Israel and its residents. Only from a position of strength will we be able to discuss the day after with countries- Western and Arab- that are looking for a solution to Gaza.

To all the enemies of Israel, including their collaborators in The Hague, I renew that pledge today.
